MMOG/LE Requirement 4.3.2
MMOG/LE Requirement 4.3.2 version 6.0 indicates the organization shall have a process to ensure transport documents are completed according to customer, industry, and government/international standards. Additionally, Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) are accurate and transmitted in a timely manner.
How Does AIM Help Automotive Suppliers Meet This Requirement?
Automotive suppliers use AIM Vision to create bar code labels, shipping documentation and ASNs. We help suppliers create accurate and timely documentation that helps to avoid delays and extraordinary costs in the transportation of material. We provide best in class solutions that include lineside labeling, and scanned verification of bar coded material included on the shipments. AIM Vision also delivers ASNs that transmit customer required information so they are aware of shipments that are in transit and are able to track, plan, and manage the receiving process.
MMOG/LE Requirement 4.3.2.1 – Ensure all Shipments are Prepared to Customer, Industry and Government/International Standards and Requirements
We do everything we can to help ensure that all shipments are prepared to automotive industry and government/international standards.
Customer shipping labels are designed directly from customer shipping specification requirements; these too are embedded into the software, which helps ensure data accuracy, as labels are often created based on data sent on inbound EDI. We have a library of nearly 2450 labels for 485 trading partners that can be used to label shipping containers, master and mixed loads, destination labels, prototype labels, part labels and when necessary include identification for hazardous material. We also handle customer specific labels like Honda Quick Receive, and the full line of Tesla labeling requirements.
We incorporate customer business logic into our shipper/ASN software logic to help safeguard the shipment creation process so shippers and ASNs get created based on how the customer expects the data.
Destination level flags help identify Ship-To’s that require additional export transport documents. You can setup customs and border compliant forms for chained printing on a destination by destination basis, so they automatically print after the Shipper / Packing Slip and Straight Bill of Lading forms.
Additionally, customer specific paperwork are included per customer requirements including documents for:
- Ford Mixed / Master Load List
- GM Brazil Commercial Invoice and Packing List
- GM Customer Care & Aftermarket Ship Direct Packing Slip
- Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, LLC (HMMA) Delivery Confirmation
- Nissan Mexico Packing Slip w/QR Code
- Opel Delivery Note
- Rivian Master Packing Slip
- Subaru of Indiana Cover & Info Sheet w/QR Code and Information Sheet (Manifest)
- Subaru Skid Manifest Sheet
MMOG/LE Requirement 4.3.2.2 – Timely Reconciliation of Shipping Labels
You can utilize the AIM Mobility Shipping app to generate master/mixed load labels from scanned serial labels, reconciling the contents of the shipping label against the customer requirements.
Toyota suppliers can improve the supplier packaging and supplier shipping areas of the supply chain, and comply with Toyota Shipping Confirmation System mandates to automate the data scanning, validation and shipping confirmation process using the AIM Mobility: Toyota Skid Build and Freight Load apps. The Toyota Skid Build app uses Toyota supplied Kanban labels, captures and verifies skid or pallet information, in real-time, then the Toyota Freight Load app captures and verifies shipment contents (destination, driver name, trailer number, and SCAC) before allowing the truck to leave the supplier dock.
MMOG/LE Requirement 4.3.2.3 – Verifying Shipping Label Contents
AIM Vision utilizes the customer provided delivery forecast as the basis for shipments. These requirements are used in the daily staging of shipments.
You can use the AIM Mobility Shipping app to verify the shipment and ensure consistency between container content, labels, documentation and ASN.
MMOG/LE Requirement 4.3.2.4 – Timely and Accurate ASN Transmissions
ASNs allow customers to track, plan and manage their receiving process. All ASNs created via AIM Vision are developed based on customer specific requirements, with embedded logic to ensure that ASNs cannot be created with missing data. In addition, you can setup ASNs to be automatically transmitted after the shipper update process is complete to ensure timely delivery.
