Streamline the flow of data communication with secure B2B Electronic Data Interchange.
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is the exchange of business information using a standard format which allows one company to securely send documents to another company.
AIM handles all ANSI ASC X.12, UN/EDIFACT, Odette and VDA formats through various protocols for OEM, Tier 1, Tier 2 and sub-tiers. Protocols include Direct Connect, Value Added Networks (VANs), use of Cleo LexiCom and others.
EDI Process controls provide the ability to set parameters to process documents based on trading partner business logic and specifications. This is fully integrated for more than 450 trading partners, so you don’t have to worry about EDI mapping.
The ability to manage changing forecasts, releases, CUMs, and ASNs is critical. EDI interprets those changes, giving you more control over orders, releases, forecasts and more.
What It Does
Customer EDI and Supplier EDI
Connect the entire supply chain with electronic data interchange that complies with IATF 16949 and MMOG/LE requirements.
Manage EDI Integration
Receive EDI mail messages to confirm electronic data has been successfully received. Exception reporting identifies information that needs attention prior to being processed. Transaction reports show data in an easy-to-read format. Email notifications and alerts advise of data receipt, exceptions and changes so you can manage EDI from anywhere, at anytime.
Control All Aspects of EDI Communication
Monitor successful completion of events, EDI communication processes, and ASN transmissions and provide a quick method to manually send and receive EDI through the EDI Interactive Dashboard.
Save Time with Auto Schedule EDI Events
Schedule inbound EDI so updates can occur during off hours, saving resource time and having demand requirements ready for the start of the day.
Capture and Apply Reference Data
Comply with trading partner EDI and bar code requirements by capturing reference data from inbound EDI and utilizing it on bar code labels and in outbound ASNs (advanced shipment notifications).
Supports non-EDI formats
Eliminate manual processing of non-EDI orders (faxes, emails, portal exports, etc.) using pre-formatted formulas to convert data into standard X.12 830 Material Releases and 862 Shipping Schedules that are processed and integrate into the Order Management system.
Over the past seven years, our company has been working with AIM Vision. The software has provided us with a great solution for Repetitive Manufacturing and is very strong in providing a solid solution for EDI, Inventory Control, Production Posting, Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving. On the Accounting side the software talks seamlessly with Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Overall, we have been happy with the Support from AIM and the overall software. Great Group of people and they are based out of Michigan. Prior to AIM Vision, we used another ERP package for over 7-years and walked away from it; then moved over to AIM Vision.

I like the system's versatility because you can use it just to translate the EDI protocols or to ship all your finished goods and labeling system using Kanban systems; it will ensure the correct performance of your shipping process.
Manufacturas Estampadas. S.A. de C.V. (Manesa)
Before AIM we didn't really have inventory control, we were guessing at everything. Now with AIM Vision we have better inventory control, we know what we have, where it is, what warehouse it is in; I'd have to say it's about 97% accurate.
AIM has helped us because EDI, ASN and Bar Codes are seamlessly integrated into the software so we never have to have a special person handling it.
AIM Vision has been an excellent vehicle to streamline and our shipping processes and improve our efficiencies to shipping product and supporting our customers. So much so, that General Motors has recognized us as a Supplier of the Year recipient. We feel that the AIM Vision system has been instrumental in improving all facets of our business.
