Need to brush up on best practices for using AIM Vision modules? Are new employees ready for training? Join us for AIM University Classes March/May 2020. We hold these three-hour sessions at our corporate offices in Fraser, Michigan. Sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Cost is $200 per person, per session.

We can also schedule these classes on different dates to fit your schedule.

March 11, 2020 – General Ledger (GL) Interface

We created the GL Interface class for users who interface with Microsoft Dynamics GP. Class topics:

  • GL Interface set-ups
  • Assigning GL accounts via GL class codes
  • GL transactions
  • GL transaction maintenance and exporting to Microsoft Dynamics
  • Reports sorted by GL accounts

March 18, 2020 – Costing

In the Costing class, we describe manufacturing cost tracking and roll-up for financial management. Class topics:

  • Cost types (standard, budgeted, actual)
  • Cost methods
  • Cost components (material, labor, burden)
  • Costing set-ups
  • Category costing
  • Indirect costing
  • Cost roll-up process
  • Cost and variance reporting

March 26, 2020 – EDI: Set-up, Exceptions & Processes

Learn how to use AIM Vision EDI software and how to set it up. Class topics:

  • What is EDI?
  • EDI set-ups
  • EDI processing and reports
  • EDI data management
  • EDI to orders: addressing exceptions

March 31, 2020 – Order Management

 The Order Management class focuses on managing the data received electronically into the AIM Vision Orders module. Class topics:

  • Basic set-ups
  • Spot Buy vs. Blanket Management
  • Cum Management
  • EDI vs. non-EDI trading partner orders
  • Customer and shipping-specific set-ups
  • How to use reports and inquiries to investigate requirement discrepancies, past due quantities and CUM issues

April 16, 2020 – The AIM Query Tool

We’ve scheduled two sessions for this class 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The AIM Query tool is useful for creating, documenting, and maintaining queries. Class topics:

  • Creating queries
  • Data dictionary
  • Output of queries

April 22, 2020 – Shipping

In the Shipping class, we review all key Shipping module set-up and processes for shipping department resources and supervisors. Users interested in the Kanban Shipping class could benefit from taking the Shipping class first.  Two sessions are scheduled for this class, 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to help meet the needs of your shipping department.  Class topics:

  • Shipping parameters
  • Shipping set-ups
  • Shipper creation – staging manager, ship order, shipper maintenance
  • Container set-up and management
  • Expedited shipment tracking
  • Reports and inquiries
  • ASN process
  • Paperwork – types, chaining, emailing

May 14, 2020 Kanban Shipping

Our Kanban Shipping class covers how to use kanban concepts from receiving EDI data with kanban information through bar code labeling and shipping within AIM Vision ERP. We have scheduled two sessions for this class 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Class topics:

  • Kanban concepts
  • Kanban EDI exceptions
  • Kanban reporting
  • Kanban editing
  • Kanban and bar code labels
  • Kanban purging
