AIM Computer Solutions Director of Consulting, Jeff Sawka will share his presentation on best practices for full traceability of material, workcenter, operator and parts while keeping production container movement to a minimum. Jeff’s presentation – How to Keep Full Traceability of Parts (Material, Workcenter and Operator) While Minimizing Hi Lo Moves – will take place on Monday, November 11 from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. in room S502A at McCormick Place.

Earlier this summer, Jeff shared a blog, How the Right ERP Configuration Delivers Traceability in Manufacturing which originally appeared on the FABTECHEXPO.com site, released on August 12, 2019.

Traceability and inventory management is a challenge for many manufacturers. It’s a fact. For full traceability, manufacturers not only need a good ERP solution, they need a properly configured ERP solution. It should be able to easily record and trace, for example, products made from raw materials coming from mixed lots. Moreover, it’s essential that the ERP software capture the transaction and do so as simply as possible so that the operator isn’t even aware that it’s happening.
