We only have one type of customer: the production part automotive supplier. AIM
provides a focused integrated solution for small to medium sized automotive
suppliers. Our Product Suite AIM products fall into four categories. In addition to these “front end” solutions, AIM offers a fully integrated and proven interface into Microsoft® Dynamics GP, Dynamics SL and Dynamics NAV financial applications, with others soon to be announced. AIM Vision® is our complete solution toolkit, designed for the full service automotive supplier. In addition, we offer three subsets of AIM Vision®: AutoSys, Lite, and Basic. Request Product Information Now! AIM Vision® AutoSys…is a true Demand Management “front end” to automotive suppliers who already may have existing manufacturing solutions. Autosys addresses the needs of the supplier who must use EDI to manage his released demands against purchase orders from multiple trading partners, and is required to print AIAG based barcode labels with each shipment. This fully automated system provides the base EDI software and related barcode capabilities for over 150 trading partners including GM, Ford, Daimler Chrysler, Toyota and Honda. Autosys is a Demand Management system that normalizes the multiple formats and business rules from customers into a single, easy to interpret production part demand format. A complete release accounting management system is included in Autosys. In release accounting, product demands [orders and releases] are analyzed and grouped over a multiple week demand window, creating a demand flow basis for smoothing. This is a key characteristic of flow manufacturing, which is a best practice of production part suppliers. Included is the ability to generate production demands that are validated by a blanket release or from spot buys; standard pack recognition; Kanban and RAN requirements, use of returnable containers or expendables with shipments, retrobilling capabilities and a fully integrated shipping and billing with ASNs, release history and AIAG based barcode labels. The Maintenance program of the Autosys Demand Management system functions as an insurance policy that guarantees free upgrades when your existing [B3, B10 or 2D] AIAG EDI or Barcode labels requirements change. AIM can offer this service because our development costs are amortized over a customer base consisting of ONLY production part automotive suppliers. AIM Vision® Lite… provides all of the functionality of AutoSys, and complete workflow management and classic manufacturing modules. Because of the unique repetitive nature of our customer niche, many “tuned” capabilities are built into our manufacturing offering: the ability to a production schedule directly from Autosys [above]; specialized repetitive routing conventions; extensive use of backflushing; pre-production cost collection; simplified revision control; standard pack recognition. Our standard classic manufacturing functionality includes Production Scheduling, MRP generation, Inventory Control, Production Control and Capacity Requirements. In addition, AIM Vision Lite provides variable levels of lot control, an outside processor subsystem, Pre-Production Management, Purchasing, Sales Analysis, Scrap Accounting and Standard Costs. AIM Vision® Basic… is a subset of AIM Vision® Lite. It is designed, as is Microsoft Business Solution Basic, for the small business community. These automotive suppliers typically produce a small number of simple parts, on a high volume basis. Other characteristics of this type of automotive supplier are a minimal need for configuration management; few engineering releases; “gray parts” [parts or components that are not usually visible to the consumer]; and a stable bill of material over many years. This is a specialized type of AIM customer where an ultra lean version [Basic version] of our AIM Vision® products is the right match for their needs. This offering provides all of the required OEM and Tier1 required EDI and barcode label modules on an as needed basis, with a subset of our manufacturing modules. AIM Vision®… the full compliment of AIM Computer Solutions’ software offerings… provides all the functionality of AIM Vision® Lite, and additional features including a complete plant floor Manufacturing Execution System: Man Material Tracking. Man Material Tracking provides for barcode based material and container tracking of raw material, semi finished goods, and finished goods inventory, as work in process travels inside and outside [outside processors] of the plant. In addition, it creates the framework for barcode based production entry, and a selection of inventory auditing and accounting selections. Specialized modules include plant floor capture of Scrap, Labor and Container Tracking and a range of reports that provide visibility into man, material and machine movement and utilization. AIM’s Man Material Tracking allows our customers to attack waste on the production floor and drive the philosophy of Lean Manufacturing into their daily production habits. AIM Vision® Quality Solution Our quality extension provides APQP, PPAP, Document Management, Audit/Assessments and Layered Audits, Engineering Change, and an entire TS Compliance suite of tools, as well as traditional SPC and corrective action functionality.
