AIM plans on demonstrating a practical
application of “co-opetition” at this year’s AutoTech
[
For the past 25 years, the Automotive Industry Action Group
(AIAG) has applied “co-opetition” — a theory of creating and capturing value through
cooperation with competition — to resolve global supply chain issues via the
adoption of common business practices and interoperable business systems. Now in its 20th year, the AIAG AutoTech conference
focuses on the cooperative efforts among more than 1,400 supply chain companies
actively engaged in numerous AIAG initiatives.
“We see
that interaction between Trading Partners in a now global manufacturing world
has never been higher,” says Jerry Czernel, AIM Computer Solutions, Inc., VP of
Operations, “the fast-paced changes to EDI and related manufacturing
preparedness has brought about new requirements for trading partners to
cooperate on, and impacts the entire materials management forum.”
AIM has
introduced advanced query tools for analytics and user interrogation of its AIM
Vision® database. In
addition, new partnerships with Microsoft Dynamics have provided simple and
practical enhancements to our proven product in several mission critical areas:
APQP, PPAP, Quoting and Estimating and other vital areas.
“Our new AutoSys
Broker System manages time sensitive schedules for customers who must manage
both a local and overseas supply chain” adds Jerry Czernel, VP of
Operations. “In addition, when value
added services are introduced to the logistics chain, our repetitive
manufacturing software creates the routing and single level paypoints as needed
to fit the level of detail that makes sense”.
AIM is a Microsoft
Gold Certified Partner and focuses on automotive suppliers for its entire
customer base.
