AutoSys is a Demand Management system that normalizes the multiple formats and business rules from customers into a single, easy to interpret production part demand format. A complete release accounting management system is included in AutoSys. In release accounting, product demands [orders and releases] are analyzed and grouped over a multiple week demand window, creating a demand flow basis for smoothing. This is a key characteristic of flow manufacturing, which is a best practice of production part suppliers. Included is the ability to generate production demands that are validated by a blanket release or from spot buys; standard pack recognition; Kanban and RAN requirements, use of returnable containers or expendables with shipments, retrobilling capabilities and a fully integrated shipping and billing with ASNs, release history and AIAG based barcode labels.
